TeachPoint Educators Evaluation System
As part of our professional development training for the new Educator Evaluation system, we will introduce a tool in December. The Teachpoint tool is intended to provide assistance with streaming our processes.  While the use of this system is not mandatory, it is our hope that the availability of this system will make this more manageable and seamless.

On our website under Staff Information tab, we have added a new link to Teachpoint resources as well as a top tab which links directly to Teachpoint. These will be introduced at the December training. You will be receiving an email with login information the day prior to your scheduled training session.

Please check there regularly for updates and helpful information. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Technology Dept at 508-997-3391 x1140 or by email: andreasmith@dartmouthschools.org.

Lego Building with the 4th Grade

4th grade students, under the direction of Carolyn Boucher,  stayed after school to be introduced to Lego Robotics. The goal of the afternoon was to teach students the basics of programming as well as to get them looking at machine parts such as gears, levers, and pulleys. Students got the chance to build Lego robots and use the computer program to make the robots move in a certain way. Dr. Bala from UMass joined them along with 5 computer engineering students and two parent volunteers. The Legos and program were funded by the Dartmouth Education Foundation.

Mix It Up Day
Mix It Up Day was celebrated on Tuesday, Oct. 28th. Children (and staff!) were encouraged to mix up their clothing to celebrate being different and acceptance of all. We also mixed up who students sit with at lunch using a color-coded system. Conversation starters were placed on the lunch tables to help students meet new friends.  Decorations, music, and a mural were all part of the fun as well.

Pictured show some of the fun we had!
Quinn School Celebrated Unity Day!
Unity Day is a day when people across America show their care and concern about creating safe and supportive schools and communities who are committed to stopping bullying by wearing the color ORANGE on Unity Day. It's the day everyone can come together—in schools, communities, and online—and send one large ORANGE message of support, hope, and unity. Pictured above shows how Quinn celebrated Unity Day!
