School Volunteers

  • The Quinn staff believes that volunteers are an integral part of our school.  Volunteers add so much to the educational and enrichment experiences that our children have at Quinn. With that in mind, we have expanded our volunteer program to include school-wide opportunities as well as classroom volunteering.  You are welcome to volunteer in as many ways as your schedule permits.
  • Volunteers/visitors are asked to check in at the office prior to proceeding to other parts of the building. All visitors will be issued a badge to wear during their stay in the school.

All volunteers and field trip chaperones must complete a CORI application every three years.

We offer an array of volunteer opportunities that you may be interested in.  There are the following:

Classroom Volunteer: Assist the classroom teacher in a variety of ways (reading groups, center activities, organize materials, etc.) Duties will be determined by the classroom teacher.

Library/Clerical Volunteer:  Assist the office staff and/or school librarian in a variety of clerical duties (shelving books, checking out books, making copies, distributing mail, etc.) Duties will be determined by school librarian and/or school secretaries.

“The Arts” Volunteer: Assist the art teacher and/or music teacher in a variety of ways (paper cutting, setting up art materials, organizing art work, helping with props/costumes for school concerts, etc.) Duties will be determined by the art teacher and/or music teacher.

Grade Level Enrichment Volunteer: Assist small group of students in enrichment activities (reading groups, extended math activities, navigating web sites, etc.) Duties will be determined by school administrators.
